About us

The BPV booklet

Budapest Picture Vehicle has been a key partner in major vehicle film projects shot in Budapest since 2012. Over the years, we have grown into a professional creative team with a strong presence in the film industry. We have worked with cars since 1998, and since 2014 we have supplied vehicles for filming to meet a wide range of requirements, as a reliable partner to both Hungarian and international productions. Working with the Budapest team of Graphixline Studio, we have contributed to the set design of films and series including Blade Runner 2049, Gran Turismo, Matchbox, The Day of the Jackal, Black Widow and many more.

For our film work, we prepare and convert stunt vehicles, and provide background vehicles, moving sets and hero cars. We work closely with production designers to bring a wide range of ideas to life and make each scene look as convincing and realistic as possible. In many cases, we transform vehicles from their original condition, working with the art department to build a set that fits the script.

We have extensive experience in designing and building POD / blind-drive systems in Budapest. Our team has converted many vehicles so that actors can concentrate on their performance while stunt drivers control the vehicle, without the distraction of driving themselves.

In many cases, this is more economical than a projected video wall, while producing a more authentic image.

Our colleagues also have extensive experience in vehicle wrapping, roll cages, hydraulic brakes, Lexan glazing and other safety equipment and stunt work. We handle vehicle documentation transparently and competitively, as well as arranging professional, fast and safe vehicle transport. Our specialists prepare every vehicle technically before it moves in front of the cameras.

We have extensive experience in sourcing the vehicles needed to represent different countries on screen. We have long-standing relationships with suppliers who can provide the rarer and more specialised vehicles a production requires.

We are perfectionists because we believe that quality work is a company’s best recommendation. We do not stop at good: we keep working until the last minute to achieve the best possible result. Over the years, producers including Apple, Marvel, Universal, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Carnival Film, Paramount, Lionsgate and Columbia Pictures have relied on our team. Completing that work to their full satisfaction is our strongest confirmation that we are on the right path.
