Camera rigging, stunt vehicle preparation and custom fabrication planned around the camera position, safety requirements and repeatable action.

Turn the selected vehicle into the vehicle the shot requires: from stunt preparation and relocated driving positions to wrapping, rigging and bespoke set builds.
01Build & rig
POD and blind-drive vehicle builds.
POD and blind-drive arrangements let actors concentrate on the scene while a stunt driver handles the vehicle. BPV’s previous installations include complete steering-system conversions, using POD, blind-drive and switchable configurations.
POD drive: Škoda Citigo Electric, BMW 5 Series and Volkswagen Passat examples
Blind drive: Volkswagen Touareg and Volkswagen T2 Minibus examples
Switchable POD and blind drive: Mercedes Sprinter Ambulance and Ford F750 examples
Complete steering-system modification, as recorded for each installation

02Build & rig
Stunt preparation, down to the hardware.
Action-vehicle work covers the structural, braking and restraint changes specified for the stunt. Roll cages, roll hoops and equipment combinations are selected around the vehicle and the action it needs to perform.
Roll-cage installation
Hydraulic brakes, E-brakes, harnesses and stunt harnesses
Race fuel cells, reinforcements and battery isolation switches
Lexan glazing and other safety-related vehicle modifications
Roll hoops and optional welded differentials where the vehicle example specifies them
03Build & rig
Vehicle rigging and studio work.
We rig and prepare vehicles around the camera setup and the demands of the scene. The work connects practical vehicle modifications with studio installations and the production’s technical setup.

04Build & rig
Wrapping for vehicles and sets.
Wrapping changes a vehicle’s colour and graphics for the scene. We work on high-value and specialist vehicles as well as set elements.

05Build & rig
Vehicle and set construction from the design.
A design can call for more than a different paint finish. BPV changes original vehicle bodies and builds set elements around the art department’s request and the needs of the script.

06Build & rig
Buses, race cars, snowcats and aircraft mock-ups.
Some scenes need a vehicle that cannot be sourced as it stands. Our previous builds include bus conversions, modified race cars, snowcats and aircraft mock-ups.

07Build & rig
Vehicle work for burn sequences.
We prepare vehicles for burn sequences to the scene’s specification, including the required condition and vehicle modifications.

Start with the details.
Describe the intended shot, camera position and vehicle action. Reference images and the shooting schedule help us work through the technical requirements.
